But to get your wp site from Instant WordPress to the Web will take a process that are NOT INCLUDED IN ANY INSTRUCTIONS with the installations.

With Instant WordPress I couldn’t get it working on the local Network (access it from other computers) but it worked fine on the installed computer. Now I’m using WampServer installed in a Virtual Machine (Virtual Box) and am able to access it on the local network and from the internet if needed. Really would like to see a write up on the Duplicator Plugin for WordPress. Every half decent Web Dev needs to know about it. I have downloaded and installed Instant WordPress 4.3.1 on my PC and it does not work. Everyone talks about how easy it is to instal and run Instant WordPress on their local PC. I have a problem with Instant WordPress 4.3.1 running on my PC. I have downloaded and installed it many times and I am really very frustrated because it is now working for me. After installing and re-installing it on my PC running Windows 7 and each time clicking on the InstantWP.exe to launch the program, a window opens with a “Redirecting” message and nothing happens even though I let it keep directing for 5 minutes.

I tried to run it as an administrator on my desktop and on my C: drive without luck. Does anyone know how to fix this problem so that I can begin to use the Instant WordPress on my PC?

For a very long time now, I’ve been using to develop and Joomla sites locally on my laptop. Unfortunately, I traveled last week without my laptop – and I needed to test the latest WordPress 4.0 locally before upgrading my live WordPress blog. The Netbook I carried along with me has no XAMPP installed on it. Knowing how tedious it can be to install and configure the likes of XAMP, etc on my netbook, I decided to search for a portable solution and stumbled on Instant WordPress. I tried it, worked fine for me and decided to share it with you.

Instant WordPress is a complete standalone, portable WordPress development environment that turns any Windows machine into a WordPress development server and can even run from a USB key. Instant WordPress wraps an entire web server into a simple to use interface so that you can start, stop and use WordPress very easily within a folder.

It can be installed as many times as you wish on the same PC and can be deleted by simply removing the folder that it is running from. Nothing is left on your machine once deleted. It comes complete with it’s own built in Apache web server, PHP and MySQL installations that are started and stopped automatically. It also comes complete with a set of dummy WordPress posts and pages so that you do not have to create any data or posts to test themes and plugins.

With the help of the free, you can even move a website from Instant WordPress to a web server on the internet.
