Copied the driver from the folder Win81x86 (as the processor is 32 bit). Executing 'devcon.exe /r install neterwlan.inf 'USB VIS_7392&PID7811' via Remote PowerShell results in the following message: [minwinpc]: PS C: Win81X86>devcon /r install netrtwlanu.inf 'USB VIS_7392&PID7811' Device node created. Install is complete when drivers are installed. Devcon: DEVCON.EXE failed. + CategoryInfo: NotSpecified: (DEVCON.EXE failed.:String) [], RemoteException + FullyQualifiedErrorId: NativeCommandError This posting is provided 'AS IS' with no warranties, and confers no rights. Just compiling the steps others have listed. Download the driver zip from 2.

Feb 17, 2016 Hi there, I am having a problem using a new Edimax ew-7811Un USB wireless adapter I brought today for my Win 7 64 bit desktop.

Put SD card in PC and copy the 3 files that were in the zip to: temp. Put SD card in the Pi and boot. Connect with Powershell (detailed in 5. cd to c: efisp temp 6. Run the command below. Devcon install netrtwlanu.inf 'USB VID_7392&PID7811' I got a 'RemoteException' but it worked anyway.

Exit powershell session 8. Restart Pi 9. Go to to configure. This worked for me. Thanks for everyone who did the hard part.

I dont get it done:-( Would anybody please give me a help. What i was doing is loading the two files netrtwlanu.inf and netrtwlanu.cat from the EDIMAX-Driver.zip in C: efiesp windows system32>on the sd-card of my RaspPi. From [ip-RaspPi]: PS C: efiesp windows system32>i started the command devcon install netrtwlanu.inf 'USB VID_7392&PID_7811' from the PowerShell.

The following status and error was given back: Updating drivers for USB VID_7392&PID_7811 from C: efiesp windows system32 netrtwlanu.inf. Devcon: devcon.exe failed. + CategoryInfo: NotSpecified: (devcon.exe failed.:String) [], RemoteException + FullyQualifiedErrorId: NativeCommandError 4.

I waited for less an hour. In the RPi-Browser Access under 'Devices' the folowing Info was shown: Properties: ID: ROOT DEVCON 0016. Find your device's hardware IDs first. Run: devcon status USB* Find hardware id for your '150 Mbps Wireless 802.11 bgn Nano USB Adapter' in previous command output.

It should look like USB VID_XXXX&PID_YYYY Here is the sample from my device. Hardware id is highlighted with bold.

Make sure USB VID_XXXX&PID_YYYY is Realtek-based device. Make sure USB VID_XXXX&PID_YYYY is present in netrtwlanu.inf. Then run: devcon update netrtwlanu.inf 'USB VID_XXXX&PID_YYYY'. Hi, I also tried to get the EDIMax EW-7811Un running on Windows IoT on a Raspberry Pi 2 Model B.

It always endet up with the device in the device manager but with the error, that the signature is invalid. I found an 'easy' solution to install the drivers.

I started from a fresh image on my pi. - copy the to your pi in a folder (i.e c: install edimax).

Take care, that the drivers you download have Raspberry Pi 2 Support.Copy the files by connecting a network share like this: your_pi_ip c$ ->username: administrator; (default) password: p@ssw0rd - you have to connect with the power shell as described: net start winrm set-item wsman: localhost client trustedhosts -value enter-pssession -computername -credential administrator Enter the pi's admin password (p@ssw0rd) if not changed. After some seconds, you should be connected. - Now, add the driver package to windows iot: devcon dp_add c: install edimax netrtwlanu.inf - reboot and connect the wlan-stick after the pi is up. I hope this helps, Michael. If you made it this far, you must have missed Dano63's procedure. I followed it and it worked for me. The one from edimax below didn't work and putting the drivers in C: Windows System32 and running devcon.exe install C: tmp netrtwlanu.inf 'USB VID_7392&PID_7811' didn't work either.

Way to go everyone! Thanks for your help.

Either follow the edimax guide for copying the files through the network as described in the edimax tutorial, or copy them to the new temp file you created on your own, but don't put the files in the C: Windows System32 folder and run the above command. Put the driver files in a temp folder and navigate to C: EFIESP temp then run the install. Din Next Pro Condensed Medium Download Itunes. Dengue Fever Electric Cambodia Rar there.

The power shell notes are good for connecting in the edimax tutorial. Happy coding!
